Workshop #1: Natural Movement | 7:00-8:15pm
All Level How to create a natural movement. Forward power drive and backward delay. The ‘active follower’.
Práctica w/ DJ Michael N. | 8:15-10:00pm
All Level Practice ideas from the class, warm up for the weekend, embrace old friends, and make new friendships!

Workshop #2: Transitions in Embrace | 1:00-2:15pm
Beginner/Intermediate Transitioning from close to open embrace. Styles of Tango versus possibilities. Managing one’s axis.
Workshop #3: Turns/Giros | 2:30-3:45pm
Beginner/Intermediate 2 ways to approach. Experimenting with geometry and elasticity of the embrace.
Workshop #4: Gancho & Enganche | 4:00-5:15pm
Intermediate Circular nature of the movement, and using enganches in giros.
Evening Milonga: 9:00pm-1am | Performance by Michael & Paulita | DJ Kirill @ Viva Social Dance

Workshop #5: Doble Frente | 1:00-2:15pm
Intermediate/Advanced Principles for this “double front/same front” position, posture and alignment. Be a DANCER.
Workshop #6: Boleos | 2:30-3:45pm
Intermediate/Advanced With and without a pivot. The linear structure combined with a circular movement. Unexpected boleos.
Privates

About Paulita Duarte
Paulita Duarte fell completely in love with the Argentine Tango at the age of 17, she has since devoted half of her life to learning, teaching, performing and perfecting the art of this bewitching dance. She is based in London and is a full time tango dancer, teacher and choreographer. Paulita is regularly invited to teach and perform at Negracha Tango Club, Tanguito Tango Academy, Tango on the Thames, Pavadita, Tango Bridge, Queer Tango, Reading Tango Club and Touch of Tango. She is currently touring with Orquestra Tango Siempre’s Tangomotion production and Santiago Quartet’s Language of the Heart. After winning the first place award for best dancer at an international dance competition in Spain in 2011 (III Open Show Dance, Andalucia) she has been asked to be a member of Tango Companies, with whom she traveled across the globe to perform and teach the different styles of the Argentine Tango, such works include Broken Tango, Rea Danza, Perfiles, Milton and Romina Tango Company and Compania Nacional Arcos de Buenos Aires.
About Michael Nadtochi
For the past 14 years Michael focused entirely on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. He has traveled the world, took part in major international tango festivals teaching and performing at some of the most spectacular venues. Germany, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Malaysia, Canada, England, Scotland are among the countries that he visited as a special guest and performing artist. He has taught at the major tango festivals in the USA and shared stage with the top professionals at Malbec & Tango House – the very first authentic nightly Argentine Tango show produced in New York. Michael Nadtochi is the director of Argentine Tango Academy of New York , founder of The Art Of Tango LLC and a creator of The Tango Method teaching concept. Being an artist he believes that the greater purpose in becoming a greater dancer lies the process of self-discovery. Classes and workshops are only tools to acquire the necessary technique that will allow one to discover who they truly are and to express their unique personality using the language of the dance.
